About SWIARC.
The SouthWest Iowa Amateur Radio Club is based in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The mission of the Club is to promote the Hobby of Amateur Radio through education, volunteers, events and fund raising.
SWIARC currently has a membership of around 150.
Annual dues are only $15.00 (half price for students) and that gets you a delivered copy of the club newsletter Printed Circuit, a speed dial on the club's repeater auto patch and access to the Member's Pages to this web site. Our Membership Form is a click away.
The club owns and operates an FM repeater located in Council Bluffs IA, 146.820 -. (See photos of Repeater Upgrade)
A weekly ARES training net is held each Wednesday evening at 9:00 pm and is followed by an informal net.
The Club meets every fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm. Meetings are held at the Loess Hills Chapter of the Red Cross located at 915 North 16th Street in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
